Barcelona – Porto – St. Fatima – Lisbon

Itinerary

Arrival in Barcelona. Meeting with assistance and driver and transfer to the hotel. 

Check in at your hotel. Accommodation at your hotel in Barcelona. 

Breakfast at the hotel. Meeting with local guide at the hotel main lobby. Transfer to the bus and start a Barcelona Half Day Panoramic City Tour.

We start our tour with a panoramic tour of the city, driving to the famous hill of Montjüic, which offers excellent views over the city and was the site of the 1992 Olympic Games. After a brief stop at the Catalunya National Art Museum (MNAC), from where we will tell you all about the history of Barcelona, we will make our way down to Plaça Espanya and on past the Modernist buildings of the Example area.

Our drive to the iconic Sagrada Famlia will take us up Passeig de Gracia, home to the famous designer stores, and the setting for two of Barcelona's most talked about Gaudï buildings: La Pedrera and Casa Batlló. Accommodation at your hotel in Barcelona.

Breakfast at the hotel, Meeting with local guide at the hotel main lobby. Transfer to the bus and drive to Costa Brava for your Girona and Costa Brava Tour.

 This full day excursion from Barcelona offers you to visit the two biggest cities north of Barcelona: Girona, medieval city with one of the best preserved Jewish quarters in Europe and Figueras.

First you will visit Girona, a monumental city where you can experience its history in the small streets of the old city centre. You will enjoy a guided walking tour of the city centre, with its well-preserved medieval streets that lead you towards the famous pastel coloured houses at the edge of the river bank. The old city centre of Girona holds an important artistic heritage. You will be given some free time in Girona to have lunch there. After lunch we will visit Figueres (30km from Girona) whre Dali Museum is located. This museum holds the biggest collection of artworks that represent the artistic evolution of Salvador Dalí, from his first artistic experiments until his surreal creations and his art he made during the last years of his life. Entrance not included. Accommodation at your hotel in Barcelona. 

Breakfast at the hotel. Meeting with driver and transfer to Barcelona Airport to catch your flight to Porto.

Suggestion for your free time: Take time to appreciate the most exquisite landscapes of Porto in Vila Nova de Gaia area, while crossing the iconic D. Luís I Bridge, built by one of the disciples of Gustav Eiffel - the French engineer who participated in the construction of the Statue of Liberty in New York and the Eiffel Tower in Paris. Vila Nova de Gaia is famous for the stunning Port Wine Cellars, your next stop. Have the opportunity to visit a Wine Cellar and learn all about the winemaking process that has lasted for centuries and that is the basis of this world-famous wine, overnight at your hotel in Porto.

Breakfast at the hotel. Enjoy a half day private tour to explore the city of Port. Your official guide will drive you around this unique city at your disposal, so do not hesitate to ask him any questions and show some interest for any specific place that you would like to visit. 

The city is quite varied architecturally, with medieval as well as modern living side by side. Porto's geography is hard on the feet, but pleasant to the eye. The city is extremely hilly, with many buildings built into a cliff face that overlooks the river. Your tour begins in one of the most charming monuments of the city, the Cathedral of Porto. Located on the highest part of the city, its construction began in the 12th century. The Cathedral of Porto is considered a National Monument, for its religious, architectural, and historic value.  Crossing the famous Aliados Avenue, surrounded by a vast architectural complex with Art Nouveau and Art Deco façades, we will continue our tour towards the São Bento Railway Station. This place may be one of the greatest highlights of the tour - this train stations seems like a true tile museum! Its tile panels tell the history of the North of Portugal through dazzling blue and white tiles. The main atrium is covered by more than twenty thousand tiles! You will be able to visit the main sights and monuments of the city like Torre dos Clerigos (entrance included) , Afternoon at leisure , Overnight at your hotel in Porto.

Breakfast at the hotel. In the morning meet your private driver at the hotel lobby and transfer to Lisbon, en route you will stop in Fatima to visit of the sanctuary,

After breakfast pick up in the hotel with our English speaking guide and visit of  Area and Baixa of Lisbon (old town). 

Belem is a picturesque district to the west of Lisbon, which is the location of many of the capital’s most notable and important tourist attractions. Belem is situated on the northern banks of the River Tagus and from the ancient harbor of Belem, ships set sail around the world, and many of the 14th century “voyages of discovery” departed from here. 

Historically the Belem district was where Lisbon's elite resided, to escape the poverty and depravity of the inner city. The Casa Pasteis De Belem is the traditional home of the delicious Pastel de Nata, that is the staple food of the sweet toothed Portuguese. Pastel de Nata is a custard tart that is sprinkled with cinnamon. The chaotic cafe and bakery has been selling Pastel de Nata for over 150 years and no trip to the Belem district is complete without a sampling one. Walk through the Belém district to admire the Belém Tower (entrance included) and the internationally acclaimed Coach Museum. Learn how the Discoveries Monument celebrates Vasco da Gama’s expedition to the Americas during Portugal’s Age of Discovery in the 15th and 16th centuries. And no Lisbon adventure is complete without uncovering its heritage at the UNESCO World Heritage-listed Jerónimos Monastery (entrance included), one of the best examples of Portuguese Manueline art. In the Afternoon time to visit historic Baixa you will pass by Comércio Square, Augusta Street, Rossio Square, where you have the well-known D. Maria II Theatre and Avenida da Liberdade, the most charming avenue inspired in Paris avenues with a lot of luxury brands.

After breakfast pick up in the hotel with our English speaking guide and visit Lisbon old town. Alfama quarter is rich with Moorish tiled buildings and cobblestone alleyways. Learn how this neighborhood is home to Fado, Portugal’s

Today you will explore with your local guide the The Castle (entrance included), Lisbon Cathedral, beautiful panoramic views. (Lunch free).

You will continue towards the eastern zone of Lisbon. Entering in the most modern area of the capital, Parque das Nações, built from scratch from Expo 98. With its modern architecture, as well as leisure and restaurant areas, here we can also find one of the largest aquariums in the world, the Oceanarium (entrance included), with 4 seas connected to a large ocean. As we pass along the river we can see the Port of Lisbon where cruise ships and import / export boats enter, overnight at your hotel in Lisbon.

After breakfast, enjoy your last hours in Lisbon. 

Free time at leisure for personal activities or shopping until it’s time for the private transfer to the airport.
